We currently have the following job opening;
Unit Project Leader - Powertrain Integration
As the Unit Project Leader for Powertrain Integration you and your colleagues are overall responsible for achieving a very competitive and high performing powertrain solution with the right balance to attract the customers on the different global markets. You will work cross functional with the team of R&D, marketing, Industrial design and Product Planning.
Your every day task means leading the development work of the system areas within the Powertrain unit. To secure that we meet the cost, timing and performance targets. You will lead project meetings and participate in various vehicle level meetings to ensure progress and provide status reports. This role will support the Powertrain System Project Leaders and reports the project results to Vehicle Project Leaders. You will report to the Vice President Powertrain Integration.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Responsible to drive and align projects cross the complete powertrain area
• To lead the development work of the system areas within the Powertrain unit
• To secure that we meet the cost, timing and performance targets
• Create and communicate overall timing and deliverables during the project phases, drawing release, verification, launch etc. from project start to start of production.
• Lead and solve complexed engineering issues.
• Report overall timing, status, issues and solution on vehicle level
• Member of the vehicle project core team and assist the Technical project leader
• Reporting to the Vice President Powertrain Integration in all project matters
Profile and Background
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Engineering or equivalent
• Technical experience in the field of Powertrain integration
• Experience of project management in the automotive industry
• At least ten years of experience in automotive industry
• Leadership skills with ability to inspire, drive and motivate people
• Ability to build high performing and diverse team with a strong team spirit
• Cultural awareness and interest in diversity
• Strong personal drive and motivation with ability to take initiative and drive issues
• Flexible mindset with ability to lead change and development and take decisions
• Analytical mindset to handle complex problems and to be solution oriented
• Ability to communicate clearly with excellent presentation skills
• Fluent in English, spoken and written
