Surface Drilling Equipment (SDE) is a division within the business area Construction and Mining Technique of the Atlas Copco Group having its main manufacturing center in Örebro, Sweden, with 310 employees.The division also has Product Companies in Garland Texas, Yokohama Japan, Nanjing and Zhangjakaou China and Nasik India. The Division Management is placed in Örebro.
The division develops, manufactures, and markets worldwide rock drilling equipment for various applications in civil engineering, quarries and open pit mines. The division focuses strongly on innovative product design and aftermarket support systems, which gives added customer value.
The division has total 1400 employees around the world including the Customer Centers.
Job description
Surface Drilling Equipments vision is to be recognized by our customers as the number one service provider in our business. One of the corner stones in building and growing our business is a strong focus on training, both of our own sales organisation and of the customers.

In this job you will be the leader of all technical training organized in the SDE Product Companies for Customer Center personnel and customers.

You will work closely together with other departments within all the Product Companies of SDE world wide in the development of course packages, planning, and execution and follow up. Together with Customer Centres you will be responsible for the mapping of competences and defining gaps. You will also be driving the development of training methods together with other CMT divisions.

You will - based on knowledge of what needs to be done - define a strategy how to fill the identified gaps and secure that our training offers meet the needs.

You will also be the trainer yourself.

Some 50-70 days of travelling per year is expected.

The position will report to the VP Aftermarket of Surface Drilling Equipment.

Mission
Your mission is to ensure that the Surface Drilling Equipment division delivers training, external and internal, of the highest quality. Our performance shall be measured, both in quality and quantity, against specified targets.

Knowledge and Experience requirements
You have a genuine technical interest and training experience - that is, experience of giving training and / or putting together training materials. You also have leadership credentials or ambitions - either from projects or a line organisation. You have excellent written and spoken English; extra languages are of course beneficial.

Educational requirements
You have a university degree and/or long similar working experience in a relevant subject - for example; training/education, communications, technical or commercial.
Personality requirements
You have strong communication and social skills. You see the whole picture and can prioritise what needs to be done. You enjoy working in an international environment - cooperating with people from around the world and you take initiative and lead things to a conclusion.
