We are now looking for a team playing manager to develop this team, a lot of code and the possibilities to deliver products with high quality and predictability!
The engineering department in Tobii Tech is developing the core eye tracking platforms for both internal and external customers. The platforms consist of Tobii custom made cameras, NIR illuminators and fw/sw that is processing images on chip or host and calculating signals such as eye position and gaze coordinates.
Our competences are within system engineering, algorithms, digital design, optronics, QA, embedded development and electrical and mechanical design.
The Tools Team play an important part in supporting these teams, with a mission to make them more efficient and deliver with higher quality.
The role and responsibilities
The team is both acting as a service team, implementing tools on request from others, and at the same time setting standards and expectation on how we manage code and releases.
As a manager, you will be overall responsible for the fantastic members in this team and their competence and personal development, as well as the team performance, structure and technical decisions.
Typical tasks for you and your colleagues are within build and release management, tools for performance measurement to support QA, tools for image collection, annotation and training to support the Computer Vision engineers.
As manager, your responsibilities are
• Personnel responsibility for the team, currently six people.
• Recruitment when needed, a modest growth for the team is expected.
• Organization and structure, you will make sure that we continue to deliver good quality to the other teams, and that we further strengthen our ambition on code, build and release processes.
• Since the team is small, you will spend most of your time developing code
We are looking for someone who
• Has maybe ten years of experience of software development / devops.
• Wants to work hands-on with software development
• Has experience from agile development.
Experience of leadership in different forms is highly meriting.
As a person, we think that you have a great interest in software development, the tools and processes for development of code in a 100-people organization.
