The section Vehicle Propulsive Controls & Calibration, within the department Complete Powertrain Engineering, works very close to end customers and is responsible for development of control algorithms and calibration of the in-house developed software "Propulsive Vehicle Control" (PVC). The PVC controls the engine, transmission and hybrid system regarding propulsive attributes and is allocated in Engine Control Module (ECM). The section also includes the attribute centre Performance & Drivability. Currently we are approximately 80 employees, organized in four groups.
The group 97533 "Strategy and Mode Management" is responsible for function development, calibration and verification of functions mainly related to hybrid vehicles. We are today 18 persons and are now looking to strengthen our team with a DVM (Design Verification Method) test engineer for our customer functions Stop/Start, Propulsion Modes and VEC (Vehicle Energy Coordination).
The role will also have a responsibility for fault tracing internal test vehicles as well as external support within the group's responsibility. This will mainly apply for hybrid vehicles where we as a group have a huge impact.
As DVM test engineer you will work across all ongoing projects to verify the complete customer functions as described by the function owner. You will be part of a dynamic team and interact with colleagues not only within the group but also within the whole unit and other units (mainly EPS within P/T and EE & Chassis).
Main responsibilities
• End to end verification of complete customer functions
• Report test results and drive for change when faults detected
• Create and update DVM based on new requirements and previous testing
• Fault tracing support
Required qualifications
• University degree in engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience from software testing or development
• Experienced user of CANalyzer and INCA
• Fluent in English (spoken and written)
• Driver license (B)
