Description
Can you picture yourself entering into a global role where you get to lead the technical competence development of Surface Coating & Treatment for the entire Tetra Pak Group?
We are recruiting a successor to our present Specialist, retiring in a few years, to secure hand-over and knowledge transfer.
You will lead one of Tetra Pak's key competence areas, supporting the building of robust product solutions for barrier coating deposition on polymer films and for surface treatment that improves interface adhesion. Your task will be to develop specific technologies and methods for the characterization of the properties of barrier films and laminates, including mechanical properties such as cohesion, adhesion, toughness and barrier properties, including OTR statistical distribution for packaging material and packages. Further, you will develop adhesion measurement methods and adhesion promoters for foil and non-foil packaging systems. An important part of the role is to disseminate knowledge and know-how across our organization and within professional networks.
Main responsibilities
• Conduct technology scouting in the surface coating & treatment competence area.
• Build knowledge within Tetra Pak to close know-how gaps and explore the technology area.
• Build, lead and maintain internal as well as external professional networks.
• Create and maintain IPR portfolio and monitor competitive activities.
• Design, develop and implement pilot and industrial packaging solutions.
• Lead the global network team "Surface Coating".
Qualifications
You have a Masters degree or, preferably, a PhD in Physics. We believe you have experience from the area of surface treatment and PECVD/CVD/PVD. Experience from surface analysis and coating equipment process is a clear advantage.
You are able to take on a senior and global specialist role, building international networks internally as well as externally on an academic and industrial level. You have the ability to transfer theory into practical use and describe practical problems in theoretical terms.
As a person you are open and actively share your knowledge with others. You are analytical and very technically dedicated. You are a clear communicator and excel in both spoken and written English.
