The HVDC market for large scale offshore wind is booming as an enabler in the energy transitions. In these projects, we have a larger scope of automation systems compared to on shore HVDC. To meet these requirements, we are forming a new and dedicated engineering department with a focus on Automation; overall SCADA and HMI systems, IT/OT infrastructure, cyber security, and telecom systems. We are looking for people with long experience in industrial or electrical automation systems, both managers, specialists, and engineers to work on tenders and projects together with our external sub-supplier partners.
As a Technical Solutions Owner Automation, you will secure that the overall automation deployments in projects globally are meeting customer and Hitachi requirements. You will guide our strategic partners that work with our customers to understand their needs and specifications and convert that into innovative and cost-efficient technical solutions well integrated with the overall system.
Your deliveries are an integrated part of the overall Automation system within the complete HVDC delivery posing high demands on your and your team's ability to collaborate and interface with many colleagues across our organization.
Your responsibilities
You will be technically responsible for the overall Automation solutions defined in tender and execution projects including our base design
You will be our main speaking partner to customers and suppliers on the overall Automation specification and solutions to meet our customers' specifications
You own our overall technical solution, base solution, for the overall system and work actively with other parts of the HVDC organization to secure the overall solution is optimized
You support the tenders with risk assessments and identification of suitable actions
You are active in reviewing tender and project specifications and technical solutions done by our partners
You ensure that lessons learned from individual tenders and projects are taken into account through guiding team members and reviews
You are active in keeping up with developments in the industry
Your background
You have at least 10-15 years of working experience within automation systems and a it is meritious if you have some years of experience in HVDC control and protection
You have a solid technical background in the automation, preferably in the electrical sector
You are preferably used to working using sub-suppliers in execution
As a person you are goal-oriented and with a leadership style that allows your teams to perform independently
You are a good communicator and strong in building internal and external relationships
You have an M.Sc. in relevant engineering, e.g. electrical engineering or computer science
You are proficient in English since you will be part of an international setting where you will need to communicate with people from all over the world. Swedish is a plus but not a necessity
