Pharmaceutical Sciences is accountable for the design and development of synthetic routes, preclinical and phase I/II formulations, encompassing both small molecules and larger synthetic modalities such as peptides and oligonucleotides, across the whole range of AstraZeneca 's therapeutic areas.
The manufacturing unit within Early Product Development and Manufacture (EPDM) in Gothenburg, Sweden is accountable for manufacture of a vast portfolio of early investigational medicinal products. We are currently expanding our capabilities including a state of the art parenteral manufacturing asset.
The role
We are now seeking a Technical project manager to join our fantastic team, based at AstraZeneca's dynamic R&D site in Gothenburg, Sweden, for a temporary position for 12 months. With employees from more than 50 countries, our Gothenburg site is a truly inspiring place to work.
What You'll do
In the role as Technical project manager, you will work as a key member of a cross-functional team and support the implementation of new technology and reconstruction of the GMP facility. You will be responsible for planning of activities and resources, liaise with team members to identify risks, follow up actions and driving delivery of the projects to timeline and scope. This will include planning project activities in detail, in collaboration with project team members and subject matter experts. You will also coordinate activities with vendors and communicate project related matters with stakeholders.
Initially, the primary scope will be to assure the finalisation of the upgrade of our parenteral manufacturing facility. In addition, the role will include exploration and project management related to other investments in new technology, purchase and implementation of manufacturing equipment and reconstruction of clean rooms.
You will be working in a highly regulated environment, ensuring compliance with Safety, Health and Environmental (SHE), current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and AstraZeneca standards at all times. There is both possibility and an expectation to build a range of accountabilities over time, in line with personal development.
Do you have the essential qualifications for these roles?

MSc or BSc in Engineering or related field of study
*
Experience of working in GMP environment, ideally in an aseptic environment, assessing and applying associated policies and external regulatory demands
*
Proven organizational- and project managing skills
*
Experience from leading teams and/or complex technical projects
*
Strong communication skills (verbal & written) in English to coordinate with team members, vendors, and management
*
Familiar with the operation, maintenance and validation of processes and equipment such as:
*
Capsule filling
*
Automated visual inspection
*
Lyophilisation and spraydrying
*
Aseptic Fill / Finish systems
*
Water for injection / Purified water production systems
*
Autoclaves, oRABS and isolators
