The Material Handling Product Team consist of technical product managers, technical project leaders and responsibility of automation platform and is a part of the Epiroc R&D underground division.
Automation, Electrification and Digitalization are top priority areas for Epiroc and we are now in a very exciting time with technology shift and several large customer cooperation projects where we need to strengthen our capacity. For example one of Epiroc 's automation solutions; Scooptram Automation.

Your mission
As "Technical Project Leader", you will be involved in new- and base development projects to guide a group of engineers and develop tomorrow's new technology for the Mining industry. The work will include handling sub project risks, budget follow up, managing time plan, resource estimations and make sure all deliveries regarding technical aspects are followed according to Epiroc project process.
You will motivate and support colleagues in the project team and secure support for the sub project in the organization and drive the project to achieve its goals and objectives. You will participate in relevant forums such as R&D Project Puls and keep the R&D line organization updated regarding hand over status on a regular basis.
You will be a member of a cross functional project team and work closely together with colleagues from R&D, Marketing, Aftermarket and Production but also in some cases with customers and customer center around the globe.
Your profile
To be successful in the role you have a well proven background as a technical project leader and are used to interact with people and can easily motivate and be the guide with a creative and analytic mindset. With only some frames set for the mission you can work in a structured way to achieve results.
You have a documented academic background preferable within mechanical / electrical engineering i.e. Master or Bachelor degree. Knowledge/experience of vehicle automation systems and Battery Electric Vehicles is an advantage.
We expect you to have several years of experience from a technical project Leader role preferable within heavy duty machinery for mining or construction.
You will have both internal and external contacts and we expect you to be fluently in English, both written and spoken.
Location and travel
This position is located in Örebro, Sweden. Occasional travel is required.
