Scania is building a new factory and R&D organisation in China to increase capacity and move development closer to the Chinese customer. We are currently in the starting blocks of building a support organisation for the Chinese test vehicles in Södertälje and now we need a Technical Problem Solving Manager to lead the work for solving and learning from the problems that arise during vehicle testing.
Role description
In this role, you will work with reactive and proactive problem management by analyzing incident trends, identifying repeat incidents, prioritizing and suggesting where problem-solving efforts are required, and taking measures to find solutions. You will work closely with the responsible R&D work streams, identifying needed knowledge and skills, and lead your cross-functional team through the problem-solving phase to resolve the immediate impact as well as being part of the long-term solution.
You are responsible for keeping an overview of all incidents, updating the status, and keeping the affected stakeholder informed of progress, as well as continuously communicating any findings to the responsible engineers.
Your profile
We are looking for a technically skilled person to lead and motivate a team through complex and time-critical problem-solving activities. As a person, you are service-minded and naturally solution-oriented.
To succeed in the role you are a critical-thinking person with good root-cause-analysis skills. You have the ability to be able to step back, look at a problem logically, apply your own experience, and know whom to engage to resolve the issue.
You have an engineering degree and have a minimum 3 years of experience from the automotive industry within at least one of the following areas:
• Full vehicle testing
• Control system or software development
• Design engineering
• Technical project management
We believe that you are used to working and delivering on high expectations. You have clear communication skills and communicate fluently in English. Swedish and Chinese language is meriting.
