This role is part of the AstraZeneca Historian Dev/Ops (flex) team, distributed in Globally and reports to team lead in Chennai.
What you'll do
In this role you will work in a DevOps environment to investigate and resolve issues in BAU & Projects. You will also perform technical analysis and design either alone or delivering large to medium size Historian Integration projects; or as a member or lead of Application Engineer team in a large or global business change. As the Technical BA/SCRUM Master, you will operate with a high level of interactive communication, demonstrating high levels of inclusion and cultural sensitivity. You will ensure that there is an understanding of user requirements and deploy / expand OSI PI in sites / lines. The role will find opportunities for standardization of processes within the PI project delivery model and be involved in and contribute to the technical discussions for new solutions to be deployed. This role will act as a trainer, guide and mentor for any new members joining the team.
This role includes setting a budget and schedule, with hands on leadership, planning & coordination, as well as facilitation of meetings, tracking, reporting and communicating both progress and risks/issues. You will make sure that goals, scope, and product domain are understood by everyone on the Scrum Team as well as possible. To support organizational environments in which Scrum is not yet fully adopted and understood, you will facilitate the scrum events and coach the Development Team.
You will also:
* Work with the business to understand the demand and perform feasibility study and estimation for equipment integration, AF/EF configuration, RtReports Development, PIVision and other user tools
* Take ownership of incident resolution and subsequent root cause analysis for P1 and P2 incidents reported for PI
* Support development activities by helping in build and deployment, tool configuration management and administration, application environment set up, change and release management
* Liaise with multiple stakeholders including users, infrastructure/middleware teams, 3rd party software vendors for resolving issues and potential process improvements
Requirements
To succeed in this role we believe that you have solid experience of prior technical support experience with deeper knowledge in OSI PI data historian application. You are an experienced Scrum Master of Software Development teams, performing all or most of the Scrum Master responsibilities described further up. You are experienced in Agile methodologies and DevOps tools. You're comfortable working collaboratively and efficiently across multiple teams and geographies, with good interpersonal skills.
You'll also need:
* B.Tech /B.E. or other equivalent technical qualifications
* Prior experience in implementation, RT reports developments, maintenance and technical support of OSI PI system
* Solid understanding of OSI PI architecture and business functionality, as well as of the ISA 95 architecture and exposure to automation layer
* Experience in database (Oracle /SQL) querying and writing stored procedures
* Experience on Windows application environment and understanding of client-server / distributed computing concepts.
* Understanding of incident, problem, change, release management processes
* Ability to apply technical knowledge to multiple systems and support multiple business groups
* Be able to work in 2 shifts
* Must participate on call rotation with off hours support responsibilities
Desirable:
* Familiarity with life sciences (Pharma) domain concepts, workflow and terminology
* ITIL certification
