HVDC is looking for a Team Manager HVDC Control & Protection - System Test Leads to join our driven and professional team. Bring your knowledge and experience to create a better and greener future for all of us!
The HVDC market for large-scale transmission and offshore wind is booming as an enabler for the global energy transitions. All these projects are classified as very critical infrastructures and hence cyber security requirements, and standard compliance are very high.

You will join as an integral member of a diverse and high-paced global operations management team at a time when the demand for our solutions is booming and we are expanding to help our clients reach their environmental targets. You will report to the Global Manager HVDC Control & Protection Operations
We are looking for an engaging and driven person to outline, build, and lead a team for our system test leads who contribute to HVDC Control & Protection deliveries and ensure that our deliverables are seamless from home to site. In this role, you will identify the needs, and develop a team with a focus on testing strategy and effective communication to stakeholders.

Your responsibilities
Lead by example as a role model for your team, embodying Hitachi Energy's Leadership Pillars, which include embracing our vision, fostering collaboration, delivering on promises, and nurturing the growth of individuals.
Outline, build, and manage the HVDC Control & Protection -System Test Lead team working closely with your team to develop key testing strategy and overseeing the execution of test plans ensuring adherence to quality standards and timeline.
Support your team in collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of testing processes.
Adapt and implement strategic initiatives that empower and align with your team, fostering a strong connection to the business goals.
Plan the composition and skill set of your team to meet the evolving needs of the business, collaborating with internal stakeholders and customers.
Take ownership of developing and documenting the team's work processes to ensure high-quality output and monitor adherence to these processes.
Stay updated with the industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices within HVDC Control and protection systems.

Your background
You have a strong interest, and preferably documented experience, in management techniques and developing teams and individuals to unlock their potential. Alternatively, you have a documented background in HVDC system testing or related fields.
As an individual, you possess a passion for both people and technology. You excel in decision-making and possess the necessary inner drive and self-management skills to take full responsibility for your scope and deliver on time in a dynamic environment.
You are an engaged, ambitious, and driven individual who thrives in a constantly changing environment. You actively seek collaboration with employees, peers, and stakeholders, valuing diverse perspectives.
You demonstrate meticulous attention to meeting customer needs and continuously strive to improve the quality of your work output. Your mindset is problem-solving-oriented and structured.
You have a deep understanding of deadlines, budgetary constraints, and a strong sense of responsibility. You are comfortable making decisions on behalf of your team, when necessary.
Proficiency and fluency in English are required, as you will be part of an international setting and communicate with individuals from around the world.
Swedish language skills would be advantageous.
