We are now looking for our new Team Lead to join our Engineering Efficiency Team at our office in Stockholm.
What is Hive's Engineering Efficiency Team?
Engineering Efficiency is the backbone of all engineering teams at Hive. Our team of backend, devops and cloud engineers takes care of a wide range of tasks that enable other teams to be successful and deliver value to our customers. Engineering Efficiency handles the Azure cloud infrastructure, including things like the Kubernetes cluster that allow other teams to deploy their solutions to our backend. We also provide support to other teams with our backend development framework and supply the best practices and guidelines to serve as base of the development. Our team is on-call 24/7, which means that we are always on top of any issues and incidents that might occur in the system. Our logging, monitoring and alerting systems allow to tap into the system health and ensure smooth operation for everyone at Hive, as well as our customers and partners.

A leader at Hive
Heading the Engineering Efficiency team at Hive means being a leader. At Hive, leaders help others grow and succeed by providing direction and facilitation. It also means embodying Hive's three Core Values: Innovation, Customer Centricity and Empowerment.
To begin with, you will lead the team including 4 Software Engineers, 1 Cloud Security Engineer and 1 Site Reliability Engineer. You are responsible is building a high-performing team through recruiting, developing and retaining talent.
You will...
• Set clear team goals and objectives.
• Work closely with internal stakeholders and make priorities on deliverables.
• Motivate Team members on their intrinsic motivational factors.
• Fulfill requirements to maintain high performing team.
• Actively take part and contribute to strategic discussions together with all Team leads at Hive Engineering.
• Define, follow up and communicate metrics to strengthen team productivity.
• Discover training needs and provide coaching.
• Drive retrospectives, salary reviews, appraisals and follow up on Team health checks.
Previous Experience
• Proven skills as Development Team Lead
• Experience as people manager, for example coaching, salary negotations, conflic management et.
• Solid understanding of engineering work and processes
• Experience and understanding of Agile methodologies
• Excellent communication and Leadership skills
• Self-driven and decision-making skills
• Understand the concept of value driven development.
Preferable (but not essential)
• Experience from using Azure Cloud services and Azure dev ops.
• Experience with Atlassian products like Jira and StatusPage.
