Within Seco Tools Purchasing department, our experienced and well established team of 14 tactical- and operational purchasers ensures the procurement of material and goods needed for production within our global network. By effective strategic purchasing, they ensure the most efficient cost, quality and reliability and, with a stable portfolio of existing suppliers, they continually work to identify possible new ways to improve the efficiency and profitably of the business. We are now looking for a Tactical Purchaser, mainly responsible for the purchasing of goods and services to support real estate and IT services and equipment. The location for this position is Fagersta, but the work is conducted in an international environment.
Key performance areas
As a Tactical Purchaser, you work with the purchase and procurement of material and goods needed for the production entity, with the best possible cost, quality and reliability. You manage existing suppliers and identify new possible partners while working in an international environment, building lasting networks. You ensure compliance with internal and external policies, guidelines, regulations and laws, and handle the evaluation and approval of new suppliers. You are responsible for supplier assessment regarding performance evaluation and measurements, as well as purchasing support for internal users and monitoring and analyzing purchasing demands and specifications.
Planned travel is a natural part of this position.
We are looking for someone with a degree in Business Administration, Industrial Economy or Logistics and at least five years of experience from working within purchasing: strategic negotiation, meeting with suppliers and qualified strategic partners, taking the lead on improvements and presenting information in broad networks. Preferably, your previous work has been conducted within a complex organization, dealing with the demands of IT, real estate and commercial projects purchasing. Knowledge of Movex is an advantage. Since we work locally but in a global setting, you have good skills in Swedish and English, in both writing and speaking.
