Within Seco Tools Purchasing department, we ensure the procurement of material and goods needed for production within our global network, at the most efficient cost, quality and reliability. As we manage existing suppliers and identify new possible partners, we provide the business with a constant flow of key components and services. We are now looking for an ambitious and inspiring Tactical Purchaser to join our team. Someone who enjoys working in an international environment and building long-lasting networks.
The location for this position is Fagersta and some international travelling is part of the job.
Key performance areas
As Tactical Purchaser, you have the option of being in charge for the procurement in some of the following areas: machine investment, equipment, services, spare parts, or indexable tools and outsourced products, and other commodities, ensuring high-quality production within Seco Tools in Sweden. You are responsible for handling orders, monitor suppliers and you are involved in negotiations and signing of business agreements. And since maintaining close and long-lasting relationships with our partners is an important part of your job, you are one of our key players in developing our network of suppliers, as well as identifying new ones.
In this position, you work in close collaboration with our production technicians, accounting and environment department and other product areas part of Sandvik Group.
Your profile
We are looking for someone with a post-graduate degree within a relevant field, and broad experience from working with tactical purchasing in an industrial environment. You have a genuine interest for business and logistics, and your background involves experience working with projects - which is the key to being successful in this position. Knowledge of the Movex business system is considered a plus. And as we operate both globally and locally, with a large scale of international stakeholders, you have great communication skills in English both verbally and in writing, while same skills in Swedish are considered advantageous.
