System Programmer
Avalanche Studios is looking for an experienced System Programmer. The ideal candidate should be able to take responsibility for development of low-level and core systems, from system analysis and design through to implementation in a well engineered and optimized fashion. The candidate should have excellent knowledge of best practice in the areas of memory usage, optimization and multi-threading on PS3, Xbox 360 or PC architectures. The studio also looks for individuals who have a positive attitude, can communicate with other members of the team and who possess the flexibility to work within a dynamic environment.
The role offers a great chance to work with a leading team on an exciting, high-profile AAA console Action title.
Requirements:
• Excellent C/C++ skills
• Experience as a system programmer on PS3, Xbox 360 or PC games essential
• Console debugging, profiling and optimization essential
• Knowledge of console architecture, memory and multithreading considerations
• Ability to plan work and deliver on time
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic
• A strong passion for games and innovation within the games industry
• Good level of spoken and written English
• Good at communicating and working in a team
