Exterior Lighting, Volvo Cars, is looking for a new employee!
The exterior and especially front and rear lighting is the first thing you will notice on a car. The Exterior Lighting is a key communication point for Volvo Cars, and this will increase in the future due to more advance technique and product design. It is exciting and challenging to be the one who predict the aspect of light in phase when everything is still in digital using state of the physics based software and to create photo realistic virtual prototypes! If you are passionate about automotive lighting concepts and want to reach your personal goals together with us, then we welcome you to join us in Exterior Lighting concept team, where we are looking for a System manager, responsible for technical content of exterior lighting systems.
At Exterior Lighting concept, you are part of a global cross functional development team with the task to develop and launch Volvo Car Groups coming car projects. You will be working closely with other system responsibles and be a support to write system requirements and create design prerequisites. You will be a key contributor to improve decision making in a tight collaboration with suppliers, Design and Exterior department.
Main responsibilities
* Write system requirements to suppliers and sub systems at Volvo Cars
* Receive, review and document requirements from other attributes
* Create design prerequisites (DPR)
* Create engineering statement of work document (ESOW)
* Support in various task forces within projects
* Support in reviewing supplier documents (hardware, software, test results)
* Issue and update technical regulations (TR) within projects
* Support in quality actions and analysis
Required qualifications
* B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in technical area with relevant work experience
* Experience from product development and cross functional work
* Knowledge of Catia and other systems for drawings and 3D models
* Knowledge and interest in automotive industry and design
* Knowledge in Exterior Lighting systems is meritorious
* Excellent English skills, spoken and written
* Driving license "B"
