Your workplace
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
The ILS & Logistic Solutions department consists of four sections. One of the sections is Logistics Information Systems. Our main operations are Maintenance Planning, Configuration Management and Operation Manuals. We participate in both international and national projects, large and small, with the Swedish Defense, Swedish Defense procurement and foreign armed forces as end customers. In many cases we cooperate with other departments and business areas within Saab.
The section consists of 27 employees located in Linköping, Arboga, Järfälla, Uppsala, Såtenäs, Växjö and Malmö.
We are looking for one or two new employees within the Maintenace Planning and Configuration Management area with workplace in Malmslätt and/or Såtenäs.
Your role
We are looking for a person who is interested in and has experience of maintenance with emphasis on the aerospace field. You should be driving, committed, structured, meticulous and enjoy having many contacts with our internal and external customers.
In your role as a System Engineer you will assist our customers with technical support and act as an expert in technical maintenance matters and investigations. You are also expected to contribute to the long-term development of the section, which means that you interact with our customers in a bussinesslike manner.
Your job assignments will vary over time but will be concerned with ensuring continued airworthiness within the following areas:
• Technical Records
• Technical Orders and Service Bulletin compliance
• Maintenance Data
• Materiel structures
• Configuration Management
• Hardware registration
• Maintenance philosophy
• Training
Your work will mainly be concerned with the Swedish Armed Forces' aircraft, helicopters, unmanned air vehicles and personal safety equipment and is carried out in the Swedish Armed Forces' extant information system. You will also act as an consultant in your field of expertise for Swedish Defense procurement and also technical support for Swedish Armed Forces, Swedish Defense procurement and Defence Industry.
You can express yourself well, in Swedish and English, both verbally and in writing.
The work includes travelling. Work location is either Malmslätt or Såtenäs.
Your qualifications
You have an extroverted disposition and are methodical, meticulous and solution-oriented. You are willing and able to foster collaboration and develop and maintain relations. You are business-conscious, take initiatives, have drive and can work without close supervision. We put heavy emphasis on your personal qualities since you will be part of a group.
You have experience of work with Helicopter Systems, JAS 39 Gripen or other complex military or civilian aircraft systems.
We appreciate if you have documented experience of work with continued airworthiness in the Swedish Armed Forces' information system for aircraft maintenance. Furthermore we value training for and experience with maintenance scheduling and interpreting maintenance directives.
