System Engineer HV Battery Cooling

The department Electric Propulsion System Engineering is responsible for development of all major part of hybrid and electric systems. Sub-systems such as batteries, Electric Drives, Power Supplies and Chargers are some of our responsibilities.

We are now looking for a System Engineer to our group EPS Mechanical Development. The group is responsible for all mechanical development including thermodynamics within the EPS department. The group develops HV batteries and all mechanical parts of the EPS system. Interaction within the whole EPS department is important as well as with other units within R&D.

Main responsibilities

• Responsibilities include understanding and break down system requirements to component level for battery thermal interface in a specific project

• You create, prepare and release the technical documentation

• Specify, plan, perform and analyse thermal battery component tests

• Coordinate and perform 1-d thermal simulations

• Coordinate CFD thermal simulations for battery

• Develop specifications for battery thermal interface

• Coordinate external work e.g. at technical university

Required qualifications

• University degree in Mechanical Engineering, M Sc or B Sc or equivalent by work life experience

• Work experience in the thermodynamic field for at least 3-5 years

• Fluent in English (written and spoken)

• Previous experience with VCC common tools like KDP, Lotus Notes and TeamCenter Engineering (TCe) is meritorious

• Previous work within thermodynamic simulations, 1-D or CFD is meritorious

• Experience from mechanical design and/or testing is meritorious

• Analytic with interest in thermodynamics

• Result oriented and flexible.

• Ability to act independently but also to cooperate and work within a team

• Structured way of working

• Broad vehicle interest and knowledge
