We are now looking for a System Developer with extensive experience from software development, communications theory and digital signal processing. In this position you get the opportunity to work on innovation and new features!
At 5G Baseband System Management our main task is to specify the wanted behaviour of advanced radio network functions for the 5G NR RAN. We are working on systemization of how products in Ericsson Radio Systems shall be combined by defining configuration rules and modelling rules.
The role includes regular contact with other parts of the organization, both inside the business unit as well as other business units. The work includes describing how to combine different RAN products, for 5G and beyond, to be used by our customers in their telecom networks.
What you will do
Lead and drive different phases of product development, from system studies to new features and products
Work in close collaboration with other units to support on unlocking maximum system capacity and performance
Specify system features and functions
Develop software simulations
Contribute to innovation and Ericsson IPR, file invention disclosures and patents
Support customer-facing units identifying customer problems and future needs of 5G products
Drive continuous improvements of products, simulation tools and processes
You will bring
Master or PhD of Science or equivalent, with related work experience
Experience from the telecommunication field
Background in communications theory and digital signal processing
Understanding of NR 3GPP specifications, especially in the areas of the physical layer, radio resource management and mobility
Experience in SW development. Languages include: Java, C and C++
Knowledge of simulation environments and tools like Matlab would be an asset
