hela Sverige Driveline and Brake Group has the global responsibility for product development, product maintenance and advanced engineering for Transmission, brake, hybrid and drive axle systems on all Volvo Buses. Our work is carried out in close cooperation with colleagues in Gothenburg, Bangalore and Curitiba and together with our system suppliers.
We are looking for a System Design Engineer for Transmission System to meet the new exiting challenges that are coming in the growing public transport business. Electromobility development and Asian expansion are giving great possibilities for interesting technology development.
Working as a System Design Engineer within Transmission means:
• Responsible for defining and designing transmission system in assigned projects
• Develop and fulfil feature requirements on transmission system in projects
• Plan and ensure that verification & validation is performed
• Participate in optimization of transmission functions. Occasional travel to different sites and proving grounds is part of the job
• Perform release of software and other necessary specifications
• Support the System Responsible in Technical Road map development
Profile and Qualifications:
• Minimum B Sc in mechanical engineering or equivalent
• Experience in Mechatronic or software handling is beneficial
• Experience from Bus or Truck Industry is beneficial
• Work experience of minimum 3 years in relevant area for the position
• Driver?s license for bus is beneficial
• Specific knowledge in transmission or electrical architecture area is highly meriting
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
