At Research & Development you will be a key contributor in the development of the next generation outstanding luxury cars from Volvo. Together with other engineers from around the world, you and your team will create innovative human-centric car technology that makes life less complicated and more enjoyable for people. The team Engine & Transmission within the department Quality and Hybrid Propulsion is responsible for attributes, functions and systems connected to complete Engine and Gearbox installed in vehicle. The team consists of 24 persons working as Product Owners, Component responsible HW, Component responsible SW, SW Coordinators, SW Testers, Design/CAD Engineers and Change Management specialists.
We are now looking to strengthen our agile team with a System Architect. The job is highly diversified with many different tasks where project management is key.
To describe the work in more detail the following tasks can be mentioned:
* Develop and propose System Solutions, based on El. architecture and Requirement setting
* Requirement setting (Base tech and Application level, dialogue with function owners)
* Managing implementation of Cyber Security requirements
As a member of our agile team you will get a strong understanding and knowledge of the driveline projects and electrical development within Volvo Cars. The extensive network will diversify your tasks and is a challenge as well as give you a great room for professional development.
You and your skills
We see that you have a Master of Science within mechatronics, electric or similar competence. You have 3-4 years experience in vehicle development and are used to work with agile methods and in agile teams. You are fluent in English, both written and spoken and have driving licence (type B).
Example of competences requested:
* SW Requirement handling
* Electrical architecture knowledge (Node communication, CAN1, CAN2, Lin communication)
* Knowledge regarding design prerequisites for Electrical HW
Meritorious
Experience from VCC Product Development and we would also appreciate project management experience and if you have practiced as Scrum Master or Product Owner that will be very meritorious. We also wish that you have some experience from SW engineering within automotive development
