SW & Algorithm Engineers DCT
Areas of responsibility:
As a software and algorithm engineer you will be working within the complete development chain including requirements development, function development, modeling & simulation, testing & verification and finally implementation into GM Powertrain's future global software platform.
You will be a part of an international cross functional team with a unique area of responsibility in our global control software.
Background:
You have a M.Sc. in Electrical-, Physical- or Automotive Engineering, or are an experienced engineer with similar educational background and an interest in real time control systems. Previous experience of modeling and simulation and knowledge of Mathworks development tool chain is very qualifying. A person with a general knowledge and interest of control systems for automotive powertrains is requested.
We are using model based design and code generation for the development of most parts of our transmission control system SW. Therefore experience of Mathwork’s RTW Embedded coder is a merit and basic understanding of embedded real time systems is an extra advantage. Some programming knowledge is preferred (C/C++). As verification of new algorithms partly takes place in vehicles, driving license B is required. Previous experience of Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) systems (dSpace) is a bonus.
You have good skills in using the English language both spoken and written and you are looking forward to working as a part of a large network with contacts all over the world, probably meaning daily contacts with other GM colleagues from other sites/countries. Traveling within and outside Sweden is part of the assignment.
