You will be part of Process Industries in Västerås. The business unit sells, designs and delivers turnkey system solutions for rolling mills and paper mills mainly on the domestic market, as well as complete mine hoists for underground mining all over the world. Our delivery projects comprise of motors and drives, transformers, control systems, mechanical equipment, as well as erection and installation work. The organization has approximately 180 employees.

In this role you will carry the responsibility to lead and implement the SCM initiatives and strategy both within the North European region, as well as on a local level. Your mission will be to ensure best total cost, minimize commercial risks in the supply chain, establish and negotiate supplier agreements and build a long-term strategy and relationship with our external and internal suppliers. Cost savings and payments terms will be your main KPIs. You will be responsible for several categories: mechanical and electrical equipment; motors and drives, and site installation services are some of our main categories. You will also be involved in our sales and project execution phase through pro-active collaboration with our bid and project teams. As supply manager you will also ensure that suppliers and subcontractors are qualified according to ABB Supplier Qualification Process and are regularly evaluated and developed based on their performance.

You hold as a minimum a Bachelor degree in Business Economics or Engineering and have a minimum of 5 years of experience within SCM. It is an advantage if you have experience from turnkey project sourcing and site service/installation contractors. Furthermore, you must be proficient in Swedish and English, written and spoken alike. It is important that you have great communication and negotiation skills. You also have strong analytical and problem solving skills.
