We are now looking for a new team member our Supplier Logistics Assurance team in order to strengthen our efforts to launch our upcoming projects in a quality assured way. The position is located at our Headquarters in Gothenburg, but travelling is required.
Supplier Logistics Assurance is parts of the Logistic Industrialization within Supply Chain Management and is responsible for preparing and developing the supply chain from Tier 1 production part suppliers to Volvo Cars vehicle and component plants in new car/engine projects. A well-functioning supply chain from start is essential to achieve a flawless project launch and to secure a continuous supply of material.
Main Responsibilities
Prepare suppliers during project phases and onwards in accordance with Logistic Web-guide requirements and make sure that European suppliers are ready and aware of Volvo Cars logistics requirements before start of delivery to our new plants globally.
Connected tasks are:
* Drive process improvements globally within the responsibility area
* Support and participate in projects within Logistics and Volvo Cars production units globally
* Supplier Logistic Assurance (SLA) of new suppliers during project phase (logistic requirements)
* Establish transport flow between production suppliers and Volvo cars production units
* Establish communication flow (EDI) between Volvo cars production units and production suppliers
* Represent and drive Volvo Cars interests in Supply Chain Assurance issues and take appropriate decisions to secure the supply chain flow from new suppliers.
* Support introductions of new supplier in supplier relocation process
* Drive Logistic audits on site at suppliers (MMOG/LE)
Required Qualifications:
* University degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
* Experience in Logistics
* Understanding of Supply Chain Processes, EDI, material handling and packaging
* Fluent in English, written and verbal
* Good knowledge in office package
* Project leader competence
* Share Point and/or Access competence is an advantage
