Who We Are
We are the team commercially responsible for all flows going in and out from Scania's industrial and aftersales operations. Regardless of modality we take pride in delivering competitive and strategically comprehensive solutions, with high focus on Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability. The Role
As Buyer within Speed Transport you will be commercially responsible to establish a way of working with our speed transports today. A speed transport is a transportation, which is booked outside the regular process. The speed transport does generally require shorter lead time than a regular transport. The main goal with the speed transportation is to avoid disturbance at the production units
This is a new segment and gives the opportunity to define a new area and commercial benefits for Scania. You will work closely together with your four colleagues in the Inbound Procurement team responsible for all European flows and you will also have collaboration with Scania Logistics and other units within Scania. Since Scania is growing our global footprint, the logistic network will increase in complexity generating an arena for you to be creative in. Your areas of responsibility include:
Create the segment and tender strategy and negotiate terms and conditions to fulfil the strategy
Balance decisions to optimise on Technology, Quality, Delivery, Cost and Sustainability
Maintain and develop Scania's supplier base
Identify potential synergies together with other TRATON brands and execute common sourcing
Actively contribute to the overall performance and further development of the team.
Work closely with the logistics organisation and other cross-functional stakeholders at Scania.
Key contact for internal and external activities in regards to several key suppliers, taking care of day to day business like tenders, contract management and supplier development.
Your Profile
You are passionate about doing business, has a strong commitment and works well in a collaborative environment with high degree of diversity. You are professional, creative, have a strategic mindset, see the bigger picture and strive to find win-win solutions for challenges that you run into.
You have a relevant education or experience within logistics, supply chain, procurement or similar. Having worked with procurement, logistics or within the automotive industry is seen as an advantage. An academic degree and fluency in English are essential. .
