The English Shop is a family run business with shops in Stockholm and Gothenburg. Both shops are busy and lively and have a loyal customer base that expects the best in customer service. We are now looking to recruit a number of staff in both locations.
Söderhallarna, Stockholm - 2 posts
Due to maternity leave, we are looking to recruit a full-time member of staff who will, in close liaison with the shop manager, take responsibility for the shop.
Skills, knowledge and experience:
• Experience of working in a shop, preferably a food or book shop
• English as mother-tongue, confident Swedish
• Management experience an advantage
• Knowledge of English food and drink, and a general interest in food
• Enthusiasm for English literature - particularly teenage and childrens' fiction
• Sound organisational skills
Your role will include:
• Serving customers and helping with enquiries
• Working closely with Shop Manager to ensure shop is well-stocked
• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Overseeing staff, setting priorities and tasks on a daily basis
• Dealing with deliveries, checking delivery notes and invoices
• Cashing up on a daily basis
• Fulfilling orders placed on our web site
1 year contract post, with possible extension. 3 months probation period.
We are also looking for a part-time member of staff for the shop in Söderhallarna. The post holder must be flexible and prepared to work weekends.
