Working as an experienced strategic purchaser, or at Scania a Sourcing Manager, you are responsible for the sourcing of products or services according to the company's needs at the best achievable Cost, Quality, Delivery and Sustainability while considering the latest available Technology.
Role description
We are seeking a talented and strategic Sourcing Manager to join our team, willing to take on the purchasing responsibility for Engineering & Testing service within the Industrial operations at Scania. You will be an active part in different cross functional collaborations and work in close cooperation with our colleagues at R&D. Together we are looking for new solution, business models and suppliers to support the introduction of new technology and to secure our external test capacity connected to both conventional trucks and buses as well as to our BEVs and new E-mobility solutions.

In your role, your main responsibilities includes;
• Develop and execute category- and sourcing strategies based on business goals to identify, attract, and retain top engineering talents.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand needs and requirements.
• Build and nurture relationships with external partners, including recruitment agencies, consulting firms and industry networks.
• Conduct market research to stay abreast of industry trends and benchmarks.
• Initiate improvement activities to boost competitiveness within the current supplier base and actively developing existing and future suppliers in keeping up with Scania's high standards
• Preparing and executing presentations for Scania's and VW Group's sourcing committees
Your profile
We're looking for candidates who are professional, structured and results-oriented. You are a engineer or industrial economist with a few years' professional experience as a purchaser, and are able to work both independently and within in team.
You're well organised and can manage short term actions without losing focus on achieving long term objectives. You are a driven team player, have a strategic mindset, strong negotiation skills along with being able to establish good relations, and collaboration, with both suppliers and internal stakeholders.
A technical understanding and interest, preferable within the Engineering area, and previous experience and knowledge from global business is a merit.
