The Sourcing Leader will own the sourcing of a portfolio of raw materials within the Chemicals Purchase Family.
These responsibilities include all aspects of supplier management as well as development and execution of sourcing strategies to ensure realization of business objectives.
The position is placed in Uppsala.
Essential Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
Development and execution of sourcing strategies that deliver competitive advantage; this includes supplier selection, development and monitoring to ensure sourcing optimization and overall supplier performance.
Negotiating agreements with suppliers both to meet financial targets and to ensure security of supply.
Conduct and lead business review meetings with key suppliers and assist in supplier site audits.
Monitoring supplier quality and delivery performance and developing improvement strategies.
Partnering with key business stakeholders to ensure sourced material meet the needs of the business.
Driving improvements in sourcing processes including escalations due to delivery/quality issues, invoicing/payables issues, and database management.
Driving sourcing strategic initiatives to ensure optimal cost productivity, fulfillment and overall security of supply.
Building deep relationships with strategic suppliers driving early supplier engagement into GE's New Product Introduction (NPI) process, and long-term partnership.
Financial tracking and reporting on financial targets.

Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or technical discipline, or a Bachelor's degree in business administration.
Min. some years' work experience with technical depth/knowledge in chemicals , or min. some years of Commercial Sourcing, Supply Chain or Engineering experience.
Willing to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of time
EU work permit
Fluent in English.

Excellent presentation and communication skills.
Ability to energize, develop and build rapport at all levels within an organization
Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments
Experience in implementing a compliant supply chain
Strong sense of accountability and ability to take own initiatives to drive projects forward.
Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
Strong MS Office skills. Experience in working with databases and ERP systems is an advantage
