Within the Common Components sourcing team, the sourcing buyer will be responsible for part of the sourcing of stamping parts for European projects, and APAC projects.
In Europe, the complete portfolio represents 100 millions Euros, to be shared with 2 other buyers.
In APAC, the complete portfolio represents 25 millions Euros.
The scope has strong saving potential from strategic business actions, supplier base rationalization and good involvement with projects.
The Sourcing Buyer drives and executes all contractual and sourcing activities up to supplier selection with the purpose of selecting the most competitive suppliers from a Quality Delivery Cost and Feature perspective in accordance with the Sourcing strategy and the Projects' requirements.
The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden.
The buyer will report directly to the Sourcing Manager.
Responsibilities
• Lead, negotiate and execute all sourcing activities in every phase of the product life cycle; i.e. Technology development (AE) projects, GDP projects, PMRs when new supplier is selected (e.g. supplier switches)
• Lead all purchasing research and activities related to market and technology development in its area of expertise and ensure involvement of suppliers in Technology development (AE) projects.
• Negotiate optimized part, tool, development, prototype cost, payment terms and productivity commitments with the suppliers in the sourcing phase
• Negotiate, ensure signature and storage of all relevant agreements in various phases of the product life cycle.
• Ensure a timely finalization of the sourcing process and a hand-over to one or several project buyers (Hand-over 2)
• Contribute to the development of sourcing strategy, and ensure implementation with close cooperate with PD, GTO and other stamping buyers in Europe, Asia, Brazil and North America.
• Ensure collaboration with the other buyer roles (Project & Operations) within the respective segment(s)
• Carry out several strategic sourcings to rationalize supplier base and seek for quick savings.

Qualifications
• University degree in Business, Engineering or related field
• Experience in Purchasing and/or extensive negotiation experience in a supplier/customer relationship 5 years
• Experience in working with Asian countries (Thailand, China, Japan, India) and knowledges in JV set up
