We are now increasing investments in Product Development and are starting the development of a new product platform aimed at penetrating new market segments.

CrossControl provides not only display and controller electronics to machine manufacturers, but also a software platform which makes it easy and fast for customers to develop their own software applications. Our software platform is one of our main competitive advantages and is often the reason why customers choose us as a supplier. Our customers' high demand requires us to work with a mix of disciplines, experimentation and innovation. The successful applicant can choose to take up the position at either our offices in Uppsala or Västerås.
You will be part of our Software Platform team and continue the development of our software platform, from first idea and experimentation, through realization and product launch all the way through to supporting our international sales team and customers directly. The current development period is very exciting, where fieldbus technologies, user interfaces and control functions are beginning to intersect with cloud services and artificial intelligence.
In the Software Platform team you will work together with the rest of the team in a scrum based system, learning and sharing from each other. The software platform itself is based on Linux with a mix of open source, commercial and in-house software, everything is integrated together to create the world class platform enjoyed by our customers.
Your profile
You have a degree in software engineering. A broad general knowledge in programming of embedded software, especially C/C++, is required. Our international profile requires you to speak and write native Swedish and fluent English. Good social skills are also needed due to the cooperation within and outside the team.
Valuable experiences include; heavy machinery systems, HMI design, graphics design, Qt programming, game programming, IoT/telematics systems, smart phone app development, fieldbus technologies, AI/ML and agile processes.
As a Software Platform Developer you are highly structured, curious, customer focused and have a drive for new technologies in order to help meet the customers' full expectations.
