You will work on design and development of control systems applications for the robotized radiation delivery system. This system includes a Windows application with a GUI and a realtime embedded application as well. These exciting and evolving fields require skills in the areas of control & realtime systems with multi threaded applications, state machines and much more.
As a Software Engineer at Elekta Neuroscience you will work in a highly motivated team, in cooperation with clinical professionals, developing cutting edge solutions for minimally invasive treatment of challenging cancers and brain disorders.
At Elekta Neuroscience, you will have the opportunity to apply your skills and efforts into challenging software design & development tasks and see your solutions manifest in a commercial system sold to leading clinics and hospitals around the world.
KEY TASKS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Contribute to new innovative product development activities in software R&D projects performed by cross-functional teams in Stockholm (Physics, Software, Electronics, Mechanics and Verification&Validation), often in close cooperation with our software development team in Shanghai.
• Perform object oriented software development in C++ with Qt (GUI tool) and Python
• Contribute in agile development projects by working with a wide range of different types of activities such as idea development, prototyping, system architecture, design implementation and final product release
• Perform evaluations of technologies, methodologies and products
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
• Master of Science in Computer Science, Engineering Physics, Electrical Engineering, or related field
• Solid engineering skills in software development with at least 3 to 4 years experience in object oriented design and preferably C++ development on Windows platforms
• Other useful areas of interest are realtime systems, robotics, CAN, multi-threaded applications and state machines
• Capable of managing and coordinating activities in a small development team. Experience of acting as Scrum master is useful
• Creativity combined with analytical ability
• Excellent team working and communication skills
• Excellent command of English and Swedish in speech and writing
• Structured, quality conscious and focused to work efficiently in a multi-tasking and international environment
