Cobolt AB is at the very forefront of the industry in the development and manufacture of high performance CW and Q-switched lasers. We are committed to supplying high performance and innovative lasers that meet or exceed the market's expectations concerning quality, reliability and robustness. We are now further expanding the R&D department and are therefore looking for a skilled Software Engineer to join our team.
We offer
As our Software Engineer you will work in close collaboration with software, electrical, mechanical and laser engineers. The tasks will include design and implementation of firmware for microcontrollers such as ARM processors for Cobolt's high performance lasers. Your work will also include programming tasks like the group user interface that allows control of the lasers from standard PC and is tightly linked to the firmware functionality. Your work will consist of a combination of design improvements on existing products, and new development.
At Cobolt we provide challenging tasks within new technologies that gives the possibility to try new methods as well as taking part of skills enhancement. You will be able to control your own work and have the possibility to affect our ground-breaking products within our team of excellent engineers.
Your skills
We believe that you are a structured person who are used to, and enjoys, working in teams and communicating with others. We also believe that you have:
• BSc, MSc degree in software engineering, or similar education
• 3-5 years experiences of working with embedded programming
• Strong knowledge of programming languages like the C-family
• Experiences of working with .Net
• Experienced in working with microprocessors and microcontrollers such as ARM
• Fluent in English
About us
Cobolt was founded in 2000 and is a spin-off from a research project at KTH. Today we are owned by HÜBNER GmbH, an industrial company with more than 2400 employees at 13 sites worldwide. The R&D department at Cobolt AB consists of eight people working within CAD, laser-, software- and electronic engineering. As an employer, we provide the perfect combination; as we are a well-established dynamic company which is still small enough to offer work in a very close and transparent environment. Our production and development are based here in Solna, with 700m2 of cleanroom for production.
