We are based in Stockholm, Sweden and are working in Uganda, Afghanistan and The Gambia. In coming 5 years we are planning to expand our work in India, Pakistan, Kenya, Ethiopia, Senegal and many other countries.
We need software developers who can help Shifo to reach its vision. If you are such a person, we should definitely know about you. We believe you are a person who wants to contribute towards improvement of healthcare in resource poor settings.
We are looking for a software engineer who is passionate about developing software systems that bring value. System development is an integral part of Shifo where we work hard to bring the best experience to the end-users by developing among others healthcare applications, transparency systems, fundraising platform and much more.
Even though we prioritise passion and interest, rather than experience, we would like to see if you have the following expertise.
Must- haves
• You love turning ideas into working code and a fulfilling user experience
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in development of software applications and in human computer interaction
• Experience in web development and knowledge in Python, Django framework
• Knowledge in front-end technologies and libraries such as HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
• Experience in administration and development of PostgreSQL and MongoDB databases
• Disciplined approach to test-driven development, A/B testing, and metrics-driven decision making.
• Experience working with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
• Strong problem solving skills with the ability of debugging and troubleshooting
• English language proficiency (spoken and written)
