E.ON is looking for a Site suitability engineer Sweden

As part of the Site Suitability and WTG selection team, you will take part in selecting the most appropriate Wind Turbine technology for E.ON Wind farms, both onshore and Offshore. The job requires an extremely good coordination with Project Development and Wind Yield Assessment Teams from early development stages, as well as a proactive communication with OEMs and external service providers (e.g. certification bodies or consultants).
The responsibilities that also are included in the role are:
Perform internal site suitability assessment
- Load and fatigue lifetime assessment
- Wind Sector Management (WSM) assessment.
- Establishing WTG pre-selection list
- Assessment of additional measurements & modeling
Understanding the Projects timelines, site conditions and development requirements, and ensuring that optimal technology is used to maximize Yield and minimize cost of Energy. Provide technical support to Business Development Teams for Wind Farms in Development.
Preform site visits on exciting and sites under development around the world
Responsible to coordinate and provide the right inputs to WTG OEM's, in order they can deliver the Site Suitability Report on time and on quality.
Review and Assess received SSR/MLA from OEMs
Collecting information from operating sites with site suitability issues
The role is located in Malmö.
Be educated to degree level or equivalent in an engineering discipline.
Experience in site suitability assessment.
Good knowledge of Wind Farms development process.
Good knowledge of wind farms Wind Yield assessment.
Good understanding of wind turbine loads.
Good knowledge of CFD software, Wasp and WindPRO.
Programming skills could be a advantaged
A thorough knowledge of engineering regulations and standards related to Wind Turbines.
Being able to understand WTG technology and associated risks.
The role requires that you have strong communication skills and fluent in English. It is important you have a clear objective on things and is able to express yourself in a clear but diplomatic way. It is essential that you are able to work and thrive both independently and in a team environment, have a systematic and well organized approach, and maintain solid oversight of projects.
