We currently have a vacancy for a Signalling Engineer - Software Configuration in our RCS (Rail Control Solutions) Division based inStockholm.
RCS develops, sells and installs advanced rail control and signalling systems. It is headquartered in Stockholm and main sites are in Madrid, Rome, Bangkok, Braunschweig (south of Berlin) and Katowice.
The Signalling Engineer (Software Configuration) configures the generic products/applications (creating the site data application) according to the requirements from the customer, andalso performs reviews, tests and documentation of the site data. The signaling engineer is part of a team based in Stockholm, which currently has 15 resources. We are performing changes in existing interlockings as well as turn-key projects both within and outside Sweden. For example, we are currently working with the following projects in Sweden:
Göteborg C
Skandiabangården
Botniabanan
Umeå
Uppsala
The key responsibilities of this position are as follows:
• Detail design based on a system design of a specific application with safety requirements
Internal co-ordination with other system
• Decide about software parameters related to application design/Software Configuration
• Perform verification of the applications
• Following applicable internal and external rules and regulations
• Deliver in time with required quality and within budget
• Report the status of assigned work package to a sub project manager and/or the line organization
• Participate in meetings as required representing the specific area of knowledge (customer meetings, project meetings, CCB-meetings etc.)
• Participate in bids representing the area of expertise
• Compose pre-studies, investigations
• A Senior signaling engineer could be working as technical supervisor for 1-2 junior signaling engineers
• Support to test and commissioning during construction of system
• Support to development teams

For this role we would particularly value the following skills and competencies:
• Engineering degree (at least "gymnasienivå")
• Knowledge of the railway-signalling area
• Product knowledge of designed part of system
• Experience of testing and/or knowledge regarding ERTMS/ETCS

• Has good knowledge in writen/ spoken Swedish and English
