Scania is currently undergoing a transformation from being a supplier of trucks, buses, and engines to a provider of complete and sustainable transport solutions.
Driving this shift involves electrifying our range of vehicles, leading to new work environment risks. Therefore, we are now seeking a SHE (Safety, Health and Environment) Coordinator who, together with colleagues, will provide the best support to R&D in the SHE area. Within EMECS, we currently coordinate the safe operation and management of R&D's resources and processes related to electrical safety, physical security, fire safety, Chemical/Environmental Protection, and work environment. Our mission also includes supporting R&D with the safety culture.
Role Summary
Work closely with the business and actively collaborate with EMECS coordinators in work environment, Electrical Safety, Fire Safety & Chemical/Environmental Protection to identify and analyze deviations within the SHE area.
Subsequently create and coordinate necessary activities to address or prevent deviations with the aim of working towards the vision of "zero incidents and accidents".
This position will have two focus areas: Fire protection and work environment. In the field of fire protection, the main focus will be on SBA, which means taking responsibility for organisational-non-technical fire protection within the organization and systematically assessing the need for fire protection awareness, to ensure that the organization has the adequate knowledge and access to necessary materials.
The second focus area is work environment, where the assignment is to support the organization in the SHE area.
Your Profile
You are accustomed to working independently with many tasks at hand. As a person, you are action oriented, take responsibility of your professional work, and have a customer-oriented mindset. You are a natural team player who prioritizes the team over the individual.

Be aware of and monitor changes in laws and other requirements related to SHE and identify how these affect R&D's operations.
Participate in creating, developing, updating, and communicating Scania's central and R&D's local working methods.
Educate and guide the organization in R&D's local working methods and guidelines for SHE. If necessary, conduct training for managers, safety representatives in occupational safety, and fire protection.
Act as a participant and R&D's representative in other work environment forums, network meetings, etc.
Request necessary risk assessments and risk analyses that should be carried out in the organization and ensure that incident and accident reports and investigations function.
Be able to support managers in investigations of serious incidents and accidents.
Competence Requirements
University education or equivalent work experience and extensive knowledge of Swedish work environment legislation.
You feel comfortable with presenting, speaking and expressing yourself in front of a group.
You have good skills in the Office package.
You have experience from working in a cross- functional environment and possess project management skills.
Proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written, since this role requires communication in both languages.
Good knowledge of fire protection is meritorious as well as previous experience within a larger international context preferably within the manufacturing industry.
Scania's Benefits
