The transport industry is undergoing a paradigm shift. Technological developments will over time revolution the relationship Scania has with its customers and the company's role in the transport value chain.
Mobility Solutions is a business area established in 2021 with the mission to lead Scania's ambition to take a larger role in the transport ecosystem and to identify new revenue streams for Scania. Mobility Solutions was initially focused on driving Scania's autonomous transport roadmap and providing As-a-Service business models for transport (i.e. LOTS Group). Now, we also invest in high growth companies through our Scania Growth Capital fund, and build our own start-ups through our corporate venture building function, Scania Ventures.
We are seeking a seasoned Venture Lead to guide and scale our start-ups with a strong sustainability and circularity focus. This role is an exciting opportunity for an entrepreneurial spirit, with an experience in innovation and business building, and a desire to contribute to the shift towards a sustainable transport system.
With Scania Ventures, you will have the chance to lead one of our various ventures often as the CEO, defining and guiding the venture's trajectory.
As a member of Scania Ventures, you and your venture operate under a high degree of freedom and autonomy, while also having access to expertise and supporting functions e.g. legal/HR/finance. You will be reporting to the Head of Venture Portfolio.

Key Tasks
Joining us during the early stage of our Corporate venture building journey, you will play a crucial role in accelerating new business ventures with a strong sustainability and circular business focus alongside a dedicated management team.
Your key tasks may vary over time but will include:
• Create and lead high-performing teams to develop new ventures with the goal to generate new revenue streams for Scania in strategically selected areas
• Defining the vision, develop a strategy and the business plan for the venture
• Secure efficient business and product development
• Report progress to the Venture Board and run meetings for input
• External monitoring - Stay attentive, to what is going on in the continuously changing environment - adapt the venture's strategy to best position it
• Communication - Representing the venture's voice within Mobility Solutions, Scania, and the external competitive landscape
Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a determined, curious, and team-oriented individual who thrives on building lasting relationships and embraces new challenges. You should be comfortable working in a rapidly evolving environment and remain composed under pressure. Strategic thinking, coupled with a willingness to provide hands-on support where necessary, is key.
Requirements
• You are a tireless inspirer - You probably influence people merely by your presence and have vast experience and innate communicative savviness
• You have +8 years of work experience, probably most of them building start-ups, and are skilled in identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities
• You have experience in sales, financial modeling, and converting market trends into business designs
• You have extensive experience in sustainability and have been working with circular business models
• You have a proactive doer and problem-solver mentality combined with high strategic capabilities
• You have a proven track record of creating effective teams and fostering a collaborative culture while remaining goal and result- oriented
• You have strong command, both verbal and written, of the English language
• You have a Masters's Degree or equivalent, probably in Engineering, Economics or Innovation
