You will be based at Electrolux HQ in Stockholm at Kungsholmen. Our Headquarters in Stockholm is an amazing and unique place to work and grow! Over 1000 passionate professionals and 75+ nationalities shape living for the better every day.
We are looking for analytical and inquisitive person who can be a part of our global advanced systems engineering team and develop the product simulation tools and innovative new systems technologies that are important for the performance of our future products.
As part of the advanced development team, you will have the opportunity develop ideas from the ground up, having the possibility to test your ideas to the limits. You will work on advanced development concepts, algorithm and mathematical modelling, simulation and lab work, ultimately reaching the implementation in production.
You will work together with a team of open and creative engineers focused on applied thermodynamics, food science in a theoretical and experimental environment.
Responsibilities:
• Drive new technology projects and innovation: both theoretically and experimentally (laboratory)
• Continue to develop and maintain our in-house simulations tools for refrigeration systems and components
• Analyse existing and emerging technologies
• Review and analyse patents and IP and file for new patent ideas
• Collaborate with internal R&D functions globally, such as Global Technology Organization, Architectures and Consumer Experience Laboratories.
Qualifications:
• Master's Degree (MS) (or PhD) in Mechanical Engineering / thermodynamics and heat transfer, preferably with some experience in refrigeration technology.
• Familiarity with Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
• Knowledge in VBA, Mtlab/Simulink, Labview, Python, Catia, StarCCM+, Comsol or similar.
• Theoretical: You enjoy knowing all the details of the subject you are working on, understanding well the fundamentals and terminologies.
• Creative. You like to explore new ways of thinking and you are oriented towards innovation.
• Proactive. You are keen for new experience, responsibility, and accountability. You are self-driven, results-oriented with a positive outlook.
• Adaptive. You like challenges and you are flexible to adapt to new situations and contexts.
• Fluent English, with good written and verbal communication skills
