The section Propulsion Systems Testing is a section within the department A&V Environments. Our main purpose is to operate and develop the department's test beds within; Engine Testing, Propulsion Testing, Climate & Aero Testing, Chassi dyno Testing and Emission Testing. Our responsibility is to provide Research & Development with test beds and test equipment system in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time.
Senior Test Engineer
The group, Dynamic Powertrain Testing, is a part of the Section Propulsions Systems Testing and consists of 14 engineers responsible for testing in dynamic engine test beds where we run the engine system and simulate a complete vehicle. In total, the group is responsible for 10 engine test beds, these test beds are mainly used for calibration of performance, emissions and fuel economy. Tests of different hardware setups and new concepts are also among our daily tasks.
The daily tasks are very varied due to the fact that we are performing tests from early prototype stages to the final homologation of production engines. We handle several types of test equipment and measuring devices. We work closely with test engineers, mechanics, designers, maintenance staff and colleagues within the group
Main tasks
* Responsible for test object to rig interfacing
* Support the daily running of the test bed
* Plan, execute and analyze tests together with internal customers
* Responsible for quality assurance of test systems and test data delivery
* Continuous learning of new technology
Required qualifications
* B.Sc., M.Sc. in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering or equal experience from vehicle/propulsion related testing
* Prior experience in engine calibration very meritorious
* Knowledge in SW development
* Prior experience from testing or similar work is meritorious
* Fluent in English both written and spoken, at least basic Swedish
* Team player with strong communications skills
* A genuine interest of technology
* Able to work independently and take required actions on own initiative
* A fast learner with an analytical mind
