The Development & Engineering unit develops and produces packaging systems and distribution solutions for liquid food. The unit is part of the Tetra Pak Group which has a global coverage and key product development Centres in Modena, Italy and Lund, Sweden. In Modena and Lund we provide product innovation and industrialization of packaging systems and distribution solutions including world class expertise inkey competence areas as well as in raw material converting processes and equipment to our customers all around the world.
In order to further strengthen the Line Engineering 8 & 19 organization we are now looking for a
Senior Test Engineer
Your task
As Test Engineer in Carton Value Equipment Lines, Line Engineering 8&19, you will join a dynamic team that works with both product maintenance activities and development projects from start to finish, covering all areas of a Test Engineer’s responsibility. The LE 8/19 areas of responsibility cover for example; Filling Machines Cardboard Packers & Straw Applicators, Conveyor & Accumulator systems and Film Wrappers.
Your main responsibilities will be to:
• Lead, coordinate or participate in verification/validation activities according to corporate standards and product specification internally/externally and in partnership with customers and suppliers
• Analyze, develop and implement improved verification/validation methods and standards to fulfill product specifications
• In co-operation with other team members strengthen design in order to fulfil product requirements and specifications
• Create time schedules and cost estimations for validation activities
• Facilitate tutor-ship and sharing of competence with assigned resources
• Document performed evaluations and report to stakeholders; create development reports when necessary
You will be working in close cooperation with other project members e.g. Mechanical Designers, Automation Engineers, Technical Writers and suppliers as well as being part of a team of Test Engineers.
Qualifications and personality
We believe you have a university degree, or equivalent, within Mechanical Engineering or Automation. But more important is a solid practical experience from a similar position where you have worked with structured test methods and verification/validation systems. You have a general electrical knowledge and are familiar with trouble shooting in PLC systems. Knowledge about statistical tools is considered a strong merit. Fluency in English, both written and spoken is required.
You possess plenty of personal drive and you like to work in a structured manner. Since you will meet many people in this role you need to be socially confident. We believe you have the ability to lead and influence other people and to work both independently and/or as a part of a team.
