As a Senior Software Architect, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of autonomous driving at Scania and Traton. Your mission? To lead a dynamic team in the evolution of our computational platform, ensuring it meets the demanding standards of safety, security, and performance required for automotive excellence.
Mission
Join a team dedicated to laying the groundwork for autonomous driving. Your challenge? To transition our operational platform to new hardware with enhanced capabilities while adhering to the latest safety and security protocols. Your role involves designing architecture and collaborating closely with software developers to transform our platform into a cutting-edge system incrementally. We're looking for someone with a proven track record of successful implementation projects and a keen eye for maintaining quality throughout.
Skills
To excel in this role, you'll likely possess a blend of the following skills:
* Over a decade of experience in software development and architecture for real-time safety-critical systems.
* Proficiency in modern C++ (2014 onwards) and a foundational understanding of Python.
* Extensive experience with contemporary simulation and CI/CD tools and knowledge of functional safety standards for automotive or similar domains.
* A degree in Computer Science or related field.
* Fluent in English, our primary working language.
* A valid driver's license for passenger cars; a truck driver's license is a bonus.
* Experience beyond the automotive industry is advantageous if applicable to this role.

This full-time position is based in Södertälje, with the flexibility to work remotely or from our Stockholm office as per the Scania Work Playbook.
