For our client AstraZeneca we are now looking for a Senior Research Statician for AstraZeneca for a consultant assignment starting in February and ongoing for 6 months with possibility for extension.

Publiceringsdatum2016-12-14Dina arbetsuppgifterThe assignment will be at Advanced Analytics Centre (AAC), within Biometrics & Information Sciences (B&I), which is part of Global Medicines Development. You will be joining a small, dynamic team of statisticians working on site in Gothenburg, but will also be part of a global team based in Sweden and UK. The position entails providing statistical support and consultancy to research areas such as cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory and inflammation. You will work closely with discovery projects, providing business critical expertise to enable problem resolution particularly around biological assay development, optimisation, validation and analysis.
Your will be working with:
• Responsible for delivering statistical support to project teams and/or to a business area
• Coordinate work with a more experience in staff Statistician
• Operate with a high degree of independence and minimal supervision
• Cover a number of areas and projects as demand
• Statistical approaches to solve biological/scientific problems
• SAS
• R
• CDISC standards
Utbildning/erfarenhet
You have/are minimum a MSc in Statistics (or equivalent recognised qualification), an experienced user of one or more mainstream statistical packages, SAS, R, etc, evidence of positive impact through applying statistical ideas to solve critical scientific and business problems. Highly meritating is some or all of the following: PhD with a substantial statistical component ,detailed understanding of the drug discovery process and its role within the Pharmaceutical, Industry as well as experience of relevant study design and data analysis approaches in the pre-clinical context.
