'In Situ' is the "new" buzzword in Spatial Biology research. In situ analysis of hundreds of genes in all individual cells within intact tissue samples is going to be a major game changer for biology research, medicine and the future of diagnostics.
Our R&D team in Stockholm, Sweden:
You will be working within a great team of about 25 people in Stockholm which continues to grow rapidly. Everybody is motivated to work together for researching and developing the next generation of in situ analysis technology in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
In this position you will be part of a team responsible for researching and developing the next generation of in situ analysis chemistry in a highly interdisciplinary environment. This work will be in close collaboration with expert scientists within spatial single cell analysis and gives you the possibility to participate in high profile cutting edge biological and disease-related research projects
What you will be doing:
 Help with the design and develop of new in situ analysis methodology and decoding chemistry
 Work in a highly interdisciplinary environment focused on developing in situ decoding chemistry
 Library preparation and in situ analysis of different biological and clinical samples Fluorescence microscopy and image data processing
 Help with designing oligonucleotide sequences, testing and tuning their performance
 Support downstream analysis of in situ data
 Development and improvement of the ISS pipeline 
To be successful, you will need:
 MSc, or equivalent, in Biomedical sciences / Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or Biophysics
 Wetlab experience with immune-staining and/or in situ hybridization techniques on tissue sections
 Fluorescent microscopy experience
 Experience in a wide range of Molecular Biology techniques
 Experience in primer/probe oligonucleotide sequence design
 Manage technical challenges independently
 To be able to work in an interdisciplinary environment
 Excellent written and spoken communication skills (English)
