ESS is now looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Officer within the Quality & Compliance Division.
Description of the Quality & Compliance Division.
The Quality & Compliance Division is responsible for Quality Management at ESS with special focus on Quality Assurance and Quality Control. One of the main objectives is to develop, implement and maintain a relevant Management System (MS) at ESS. The Quality & Compliance Division acts as a support function to the entire ESS project during design, construction, commissioning and operation of the ESS facility and currently is in an evolving phase. As the Senior Quality Assurance Officer, you will join the Quality Assurance team within the division. The Senior Quality Assurance Officer will report to the Head of Quality & Compliance Division.
Job Description
The main responsibilities for the Senior Quality Assurance Officer will be to support the Quality & Compliance Division and ESS with it's sub-projects in the ESS Management System, addressing various disciplines (quality, safety, radiation protection, configuration management etc.), other tasks will include:
• Promote a stakeholder-focused organization-wide Quality culture.
• Play an active role in development of ESS MS, including creation and review of documentation.
• Implement and train personnel in Quality management processes globally in the ESS organisation.
• Initiate and manage internal Quality improvement projects.
• Support the ESS organisation with Non-conformance and Continuous improvement management.
• Support licensing permit applications in areas of expertise governed by the Quality & Compliance Division
• Prepare and participate in the Management Review Meetings.
• Act as replacer for Head of Quality & Compliance Division, in his/hers absence.
Qualifications
To be successful in this position you are required to have a Master degree in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent and at least 6- 8 years of work experience in the field of Quality Assurance. You have a well-developed ability to listen, consult others and to communicate proactively with a high level of integrity. Building wide and effective networks of contacts both inside and outside the organisation comes naturally to you. You structure information to meet the needs and understanding of the intended audience and writes in a well-structured and logical way. Your focus is on customer needs and satisfaction and you monitor and maintain a high level of quality and productivity in your deliveries. Excellent oral and written English skills and a well-developed ability for both collaborative and independent work are expected.

Work experience from a highly regulated business/organisation such as research facilities, nuclear industry, life science or oil & gas is a major advantage.
Duration & Location
The position is permanent, full-time position. Your work place will be situated in Lund, Sweden.
Start date
The position is to be filled as soon as possible.
