Global Consumer Experience (GCE) is an umbrella structure built up by three main areas - (1) Global Strategy, Brand & Retail, (2) Vehicle Line Management and (3) Group IT. We are responsible for securing attractive consumer offerings, both in terms of what we offer: cars and services, and how we offer them: a seamless consumer journey and development of the business model. Our Value Chain Management (VCM) team, which is part of Global Retail, manage and drive Volvo Cars strategic focus area to build more cars to customer orders and cross-functional value chain improvements. We lead key major business and operational development programs and projects, stretching over Volvo Cars core processes from product creation to repurchase and cross-functional organizations.
We are now looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Value Chain Management team. We have a holistic and broad senior competence within business and operational development together with a high team spirit. You will be part of a dedicated team that handles complex global challenges in a dynamic and fast moving business environment with many different interfaces, internally as well as externally. In this role, you will report to the Senior Director, Value Chain Management.
Main responsibilities
Lead strategic change projects within the supply chain and commercial area of Volvo Cars
Operational strategy development and change management
Program and project management
Process management of Volvo Cars core process Order to Delivery process.
Analytics
External benchmarks and finding best practices when needed
Create management presentation material and communication
Some business administration, support and knowledge sharing
Required qualifications
Proven successful project leadership experience, preferably from management consulting business or from a global strategic change environment
Experience in strategy, operational transformation and change management preferably from the commercial side
Holistic and broad understanding of the total value chain is required
Ability to discover new business opportunities including possibilities with new IT technology and ongoing digitalization
Preferably knowledge within process development
University degree or equivalent in Engineering and/or Business Administration
Highly proficient in English (written and spoken)
Personal qualities
Team player with leadership skills and an ability to influence and inspire others
Strategic mind-set with a conceptual way of thinking and an ability to balance strategic and operational work to set the right priorities
Excellent stakeholder skills with the ability to find and maintain strong relationships and networks
Strong personal drive, open to learn new things and to challenge the old
High level of integrity and business acumen
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Good presentation skills
