Background and organization Volvo GTO in Köping is looking for their next senior production engineer. To be able to achieve our goal of becoming the best transmission factory in the world, we need world class employees. In the area of production engineering towards assembly, we are 18 production engineers in different levels and you will report directly to the Department manager. We are now looking for our next team member who is eager to join the Volvo Group continuous journey.

We are looking for a team member that is passionate about technology and continuous improvements. As a senior production engineer within assembly area, you will have the opportunity to work with this, in line with the Volvo Operations Concept. We are now looking for our next talent to complete our team.

Main areas of responsibility Our area of responsibility is to prepare and industrialize new products and processes, refine existing products, maintain and if needed extend the installed capacity. The area is also responsible for technical support and continuous improvements that can be divided into reactive and proactive problem solving. An extensive part of your work will be in project form, were you can be assigned different roles within the project. We look forward in meeting our next talented production engineer.

A summary of your everyday work:

Preparation and industrialization of new products and processes Project related work in product and industrialization projects including equipment procuremen Review and industrialization of DCN (Design change notification) Participation in product development together with technology Perform PFMEA and give input to DFMEA Perform line balancing and flow optimization Perform simulation (FACTS) Lead improvement projects Perform investigations and participate in global development work in areas like Industry 4.0

Personal profile and qualifications To be suitable for the job, it requires that you have an interest in technology development and primary within line balancing, simulation and/or End line testing. Ha strive to develop tomorrow's technology and you are an important player in our team.

For this position, we see that you have the following qualifications and skills:

Academic background within the area of technology engineering and a strong technical interestGreat experience of industrial engineering work, primarily within assembly production engineeringExcellent communication skills (written and spoken) in both Swedish and EnglishGood leadership abilities
