Dina arbetsuppgifterSenior Patent Attorney Sony Mobile is looking for at Senior Patent Attorney to strenghten our IPR team located in Lund, Sweden. Sony Mobile has a substantial patent portfolio in one of the fastest moving, IP intensive technology business and manages its patent portfolio globally under the global organizational setup headquartered in Tokyo. Located within the innovation leading hub of the company, Lund Patent Section is the key driving force in creating valuable patent portfolio of the company. As a Senior Patent Attorney you will be responsible for the full range of technical, legal and business advice with respect to the patent portfolio. In addition, you will also be responsible for leading and managing the team members.
The responsibilities include: Active role in the invention mining and review process. Managing the prosecution work of part of the patent portfolio by interaction with inventors and giving instructions to law firms worldwide. Patent portfolio analysis, portfolio management, IPR risk assessment. Support IPR litigations
and IPR licensing matters. Infringement/validity analyses. Making strategic decisions with our management regarding filing, patent offers, patent sales. Coordinate, lead and drive joint IPR projects with other divisions within Sony Group Companies Lead and drive team projects of our Global IPR & Licensing organizations.
Utbildning och erfarenhetMaster's degree in computer science, wireless communications engineering, or information technology. Work experience in those technological fields prevails academic degree. At least 5 years of experience as a patent attorney or a patent engineer. Comparable experience as an inventor or IPR consultant will be considered. European Patent Attorney (EPA) is considered a plus. Intercultural experience, especially exposure to East Asian culture, is considered a plus. Team-oriented Experience in coordinating and leading team activities. Fluent in written and spoken English. Experience of the patenting process of intellectual property rights before the European Patent Office and/or the United States Patent & Trademark Office. Patent invalidation. Patent Licensing. Claim chart writing. We also expect you to be a clear communicator, written and oral, as you will need to guide and influence internal and external stakeholders. With a personality that builds trust mixed with a strong dash of integrity you create a confident climate wherever you roam. Astute in risk management, you weigh up the pros and cons.
