Modis Life Science is now looking for a Senior Medical Affairs Executive for a 1 year consultancy assignment at McNeil Sweden, Johson & Johnson group. As a Medical Affairs Executive you will provide expert medical support to the Northern Europe area, to include contributing to new product development (NPD) and launches, approval of promotional activities in accordance with relevant legislation and to assist in the provision of accurate clinical and technical information service for Johnson & Johnson Ltd. products. This is a full-time assignment and you will work at the customers office located in Solna.

Main tasks and responsibilites

* Provide medical review and approval of promotional materials and activities in accordance with applicable Codes of Practice and regulations, Company policy and any other relevant regulations
* Actively contribute in development of new claims for key brands
* Take the lead at cross-functional meetings, where required/appropriate
* Partner and collaborate with internal departments as appropriate e.g. Hub Marketing, Regulatory Affairs (UK/Ireland/Nordics), Customer Development, Shopper Marketing, Customer Services, and Commercial Activation Managers (Ireland/Nordics)
* Defend key claims upon challenge by competitor companies and challenge on competitor advertising as appropriate
* Assist in writing and amending SmPCs (Summary of Product Characteristics), PILs (Patient Information Leaflets) and label information
* Produce written documents, including clinical overviews and umbrella branding statements to be submitted to regulatory agencies as required
* Liaise with 3rd party outsourcing agents to ensure that enquiries are handled efficiently, accurately and in a timely manner
* Provide a Medical Affairs service to in-house personnel (e.g. Regulatory, Marketing and Sales)
* Lead the development and evolution of processes and procedures e.g. SOPs / Working Practices
* Populate and maintain in-house Medical Affairs systems (e.g. Core claims database)
* Create and roll out relevant training to internal colleagues (including the field sales force) as well as 3rd party outsourcing agents
* Identify department training needs and conduct relevant training where required
* Support junior team members with identifying and writing their yearly goals and development plans
* Liaise with internal and external stakeholders on key industry issues and policies, including legislative changes, to provide relevant input
* Support and mentor junior team members by providing expertise and sharing knowledge across therapeutic areas/relevant legislation
* Assist the department manager with the day-to-day running of the department and act as deputy for the department manager when required
* Jointly (with the department manager) manage the recruitment process for new team members

Requirements

Education

* Degree in Pharmacy or a Life Science (preferred 2:1 or above)

Experience

* Experience in the Pharmaceutical/OTC Industry within a medical role (must have copy review
* Experience if a medical information background)
* Working knowledge of relevant advertising codes of practice (LER)
* Experience within consumer healthcare / OTC an advantage

Technological competencies

* Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
