Senior Engineer (Team Leader) Road Operations EMEA is a part of Inbound & Packaging Operations (IBPO) EMEA and reports to Manager Road Operations EMEA. The role is based in Gothenburg, Sweden.

What you'll do
The role is fast paced, can be high pressure or involve working out of hours but it is extremely rewarding and fulfilling and you will work with a team of competent colleagues with you is the right place for an ambitious leader.

You will coordinate the daily operations of our standard transports ensuring the right personnel are in place for key tasks as well as support in the coaching of colleagues via sharing your hard-earned experience. You will also directly support our production sites by finding operational solutions to support our inbound flows. You will also ensure carrier management activities take place for respective carriers in the standard business area and drive improvement activities for your area.
The main tasks of the role Senior Engineer Road Operations EMEA:
• To set the structure and pace for daily operational tasks
• Secure quality and service levels towards stakeholders are met in accordance with agreed targets and KPI's (operational and financial)
• To regular monitor carrier performance and business split and where necessary recommend adding or removing carriers from the business.
• Act and contribute as a member of the Road operations management team as well as wider IBPO EMEA Leadership team.
• Lead activities to support the organisation in continuous improvement and problem solving.
• Coach colleagues in problem solving processes and where possible define tools to support the wider organisation in their daily work in problem solving.
• Secure transport availability to the required locations at the agreed time and cost.
• Develop appropriate action plans to ensure recovery if targets are not met
• Drive continuous improvement work as assigned and that you identify yourself from a unique holistic perception of the operational activities within the unit.
• Develop tools and processes to improve and where possible automate or standardize processes within IBL EMEA
• Participate in the IBPO EMEA Mgmt. team when needed (the role has no formal HR responsibility and as such will be part of elements of the IBPO EMEA management team, not the full management team) and support a constant ongoing development of processes.
• Drive analyse of monthly performance and define actions related to findings
Do you fit the profile?
To be successful in this role you need to have a University Degree. Solid experience of the European freight forwarding or Inhouse logistic business is essential.

We are looking for someone who can maintain composure whilst under pressure. Having a service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally is key. Being customer focused and able to drive change within the group is highly valued. You must have the experience and ability to build a strong, supportive and inspirational team and being a group-oriented player.

You need to have the ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change. You need to have an analytical mindset being able to use data to take correct decisions with a problem-solving approach. You need to be confident in your presentation and communication skills. Experience working within a global context and multi-cultural environment is a plus.
Fluency in English is required.
