Axis is looking for the right person to fill an opening as a Senior Developer in our Firmware Platform team within our R&D organization.
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
We constantly need to increase our capacity to support and improve our products on the market. Today we have one senior developer working as Tech Lead (technical assistance to the Program Manager) for both of the LFP programs. We want to expand and strengthen the department in order to have one Tech Lead responsible for each program.
This position will assist the program managers with technical knowledge regarding:
• Prioritizing tickets.
• First analyze of Change Request.
• Help out with configuration management and version control questions.
• Order scope for automated testing.
• Give support to projects that will integrate to Linux Firmware Platform (LFP).
• Be a part of selecting reference products used then running Quality Assurance and automated testing.
• Help out with set integration requirements.
• Write Guidelines to help other developers and other staff in their work.
• Documenting processes and working methods.
This person will also be expected to run smaller activities but also lead and coach other developers. The right person should also be able to write requirements and use case for tools and process changes related to LFP.
This position requires about 10 days of travelling per year.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We believe you are an open minded and driven team player with the ability to lead and coach other developers. It's important that you are helpful and able to think strategically and see the wide picture. You must take responsibility and be able to assist program managers. We believe you have a Master degree in engineering or equivalent and have at least 5 years of relevant working experience.
In addition to above we believe the right candidate have experience/skills in:
• C
• Linux
• Configuration management (git)
• Script, one of Python or Perl or similar.
• Automated test is desirable.
• Good skills in English, both oral and in writing.
FIRMWARE PLATFORM
The Firmware Platform team within our Research and Development organization is responsible for the Firmware Platform used by all Axis network video products. Our main focus is to coordinate all platform activities and processes as well as providing efficient platform tools and infrastructure.
